I had the amazing opportunity to work with St. Francis House in the re-brand of their organization. The previous logo was a hodge-podge of stained glass and more fonts than a logo ever should have. The shelter recently gained a new executive director, and it seemed the perfect time to update the logo. A homeless shelter in St. Augustine, yes, but they are much more than that. The organization also provides programs to help individuals re-enter the workforce. This was the driving factor of the entire design.
The logo showcases, through shape and color, the friendly and comforting environment that people expect while at the St. Francis House. Cohesive branding materials create an inviting look across all platforms while still being functional for the user. For example, the letterhead can be pre-printed and kept on-hand and used as needed.
